The skort, explained once

A skort is a skirt panel with shorts underneath, sewn as one garment. It looks like a skirt standing still and behaves like shorts when you move.

The trade is small and worth knowing: the shorts sit a little shorter than the panel, so the panel is what you see and the shorts are what covers you.

For anyone who cycles, chases a child or sits on the floor, this is the shape that solves the most problems at once.

When two separates win

A set stops being useful the moment your top and bottom sizes differ. Ours are sold as one item in one size, so a size up for the top means a size up for both.

Sets also wear unevenly. The bottom half sees more friction, and after a year the two pieces can drift apart in color, which is more visible than it would be on unrelated garments.
